Rudy Kalele, Diversity (DOCO 2026)

Working in the hospitality industry in Australia, I came across several nationalities, cultures, and personalities every day. Here are five images that I captured on the World Photography Day 2025 at one of the hotels in Canberra to showcase a few of them. The photo series follows one's journey through the hotel, commencing with a receptionist's warm smile. Followed by a drink in the bar, and a meal in the restaurant prepared by the chef. Then there is the housekeeper and a maintenance team member that are rarely seen. The hotel serves as a microcosm of today's multicultural community. (All participants have provided written consent for their photographs to be published as well as used on socials for the purpose of a photo competition).
