Neil Murphy, COLOURBLIND (PEOPLE 2025)

At the beginning of COVID19 I was diagnosed with a Pituitary brain tumour, which caused vision problems and left me with a tremor, ending a long and successful career as a Makeup Artist. In time, I traded my makeup brushes for a Camera and Tripod and formally studied Photography in 2023. I embraced my study wholeheartedly and with a renewed vigour and excitement. I call this series "COLOURBLIND", as for a period of time, I felt the colour and vibrancy that once filled my life had faded away to blackness. I now enjoy a new form of artistic expression that has reinvigorated what I felt I had lost.
