Cheryl Dunn, Bombay Cat (ANIMALS 2026)

I had an unexpected interaction with this lovely unknown cat while I was actually standing still with my camera in hand trying to get a clear shot of a bird in a tree. With my concentration clearly focused on the bird, this cat surprised me (yes I let out a scream) by pouncing at my legs. He was purring and swirling around me, becoming very playful. With the bird escaping upon hearing my yelp, my attention and camera turned directly onto my attacker.
