James Parker, Blue Banded Bee nectar robbing (ANIMALS 2026)

This series of three images depicts a Blue Banded Bee performing what is known as nectar robbing. Essentially the bee pierces the petal with its tongue to access the nectar, whilst not pollinating the flower, hence the robbery.
