Merrick Bailey, Blue Banded Bee in Flight, Hoverfly Embrace, Tetrogonula carbonaria feeding (ANIMAL 2023)

This native Bee visits my Salvia plants on a regular basis, which makes for an easy capture shot on a Z9 @ 400 mm at f6.3 and 1/1600 sec. ISO 2800. The Hoverflies were also in my yard due to being home hiding from Covid! Shot on Z9 @ 105 mm at f9 1/2500 sec ISO 3200. The Tetrofonula feed in my red Grevillia "Molly"during the day when the necter is avalable, shot on Z9 @ 105mm f7.1 1/2000 sec ISO 1100. All 3 shots show the elegance of these little creatures in flight.
