Sonja Read, Bella (Portrait (ATEP 2017))

These images are of my daughter Bella and have been taken over the past two years. We live on Waiheke Island and I love how much Bella has been interacting in the elements since moving here. Nowadays so many children miss out on the simple fun of interacting with life itself, feeling the freedom of leaping, jumping and turning in abundant space. We came from an environment where kids were encouraged to play inside, so I have been compelled to capture this essence of pure freedom.
