Byron Tan, Barcelona in Passing (TRAVEL 2026)
These photographs were made while wandering through the laneways of Barcelona, where light and shadow shape the rhythm of daily life. I was drawn to the quiet moments — a lone walker, a cyclist emerging from darkness, the textures of wet stone and rising steam. Together, the images reflect the experience of moving through an unfamiliar city on foot, noticing small gestures and fleeting encounters. Rather than iconic landmarks, this series focuses on the intimate, lived‑in spaces that reveal the city’s character.
