Margaret Ewing, Australian Carpet Python (ANIMAL 2021)
This Female Carpet Python was approximately 3.6 metres in length and nested in a large staghorn in our native garden, it created a platform upon on a tree next to the nest, coming out to warm up then back into the nest to incubate the eggs. It took 10 weeks for the eggs to hatch. Once the young had emerged the female disappeared. We often have these well camouflaged and secretive snake in our garden.
