Emma Parker, After the ice has gone (ANIMAL 2025)

Dramatic scenes unfold in the artic when the ice pack recedes, showing a desolate often brutal looking landscape, then polar bears hunt, feed young and rest. I choose to turn these into monochrome images as it highlights the starkness of the landscape at the end of Summer - and foretells what holds for the future if the ice continues to recede
