Sony SceneScape, the newly rebranded and expanded consumer expo, officially opens its doors this Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, at the cavernous White Bay Power Station.

Attendees can expect a hands-on look at Sony's latest line-up of cameras and audio equipment, exclusive deals, the prestigious 10th annual Alpha Awards ceremony, workshops, and a bustling market for new Sony products (with exclusive price reductions) as well as second-hand equipment.

Event Highlights

Attendees can expect a range of activities and exhibitions. The full lineup of Sony's Digital Imaging products will be available for hands-on experience, supported by product specialists and advocates.

The event will also feature:

  • Alpha Awards Gallery: Showcasing finalist and winning works from the 2025 Alpha Awards, celebrating its 10th anniversary. The awards ceremony will be held as a private, invite-only event on Friday, September 19.

  • Catchlight Film Festival Screening: A dedicated space to view finalist films from the 2025 Catchlight Film Festival, which marks its fifth year. The awards ceremony will also be an invite-only event on Saturday, September 20.

  • Interactive Demonstrations: Sessions and demonstrations will be held to showcase a variety of creative techniques and applications.

  • Kids With Cameras: A workshop led by Digital Imaging Ambassador Craig Parry, aimed at children aged 8-14.

  • Live Film Set: A collaborative demonstration with BRAVIA will feature Sony's professional cinema cameras, directed by cinematographer Liam Brennan.

  • Live Podcast Studio: An interactive experience with Sony's podcast, The Full Frame, produced by 27 Project.

  • Talks and Panels: Over 30 industry professionals will be featured on the main stage to discuss topics within photography, filmmaking, and content creation.

  • Workshops: A new dedicated workshop zone will offer tutorials and hands-on sessions led by Sony Ambassadors, Advocates, and other professionals.

  • Second-hand market place: Hosted by the Federation of Camera Clubs, pre-loved gear can be purchased.

In collaboration with PlayStation, the event will also include a 'Play Zone' where attendees can experience PlayStation technology paired with Sony BRAVIA displays. The event will also offer merchandise and product sales.
