Fujifilm Australia has announced the upcoming release of the Fujifilm Projector ZUH12000, a powerful interchangeable-lens that delivers a maximum brightness of 12,000 lumens at 4K. The new model achieves double the brightness of its predecessor, making it well-suited for exhibitions, corporate showrooms, and large commercial spaces with ambient light.
To give you an idea of how powerful 12,000 lumens is, most domestic or home entertainment projectors generally range from 1,500 to 4,000 ANSI lumens, though the ideal brightness depends heavily on your room setup and lighting.
As the first Z Series model to feature an interchangeable-lens design, the projector supports three new optional lenses: the ultra-short-throw FP-ZL034, the short-throw FP-ZL050, and the standard FP-ZL125.
The flagship ultra-short-throw lens features Fujifilm's signature folded-type rotatable mechanism, offering a wide lens-shift range of 60% vertically and 30% horizontally. This mechanism allows multidirectional projection onto walls, floors, and ceilings from short distances without repositioning the projector body.
Weighing approximately 18.1 kg in a compact chassis measuring 535 mm wide, 396 mm deep, and 189 mm high, the device combines portability with advanced laser light-source technology.
Interestingly, it also integrates Fujifilm's proprietary colour reproduction technology through five distinct Film Simulation modes, including Provia, Velvia, Eterna, Classic Chrome, and Classic Neg. It also has an incredible refresh rate of 240Hz which means that it may be great for video games.
It will be available for shipping from 6 August 2026, though there has been no price reveal as yet.
