'Date' a wildlife photographer at Sydney's Maritime Museum this week
An evening of 'speed dating' with some of Australia’s leading wildlife photographers is set to take place inside the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition before it closes on 19 October.
The event on October 2 will bring together acclaimed photographers Scott Portelli, Angela Robertson-Buchanan, Charles Davis, and Matty Smith for a fast-paced night of one-on-one conversations.
Guests will rotate between the four photographers, with 15 minutes to ask their questions before the gong sounds and it’s time to move on.
Organisers say the format is designed to give attendees rare, personal access to the artists behind some of the country’s most striking wildlife imagery. Visitors will be able to hear stories from the field, discover how iconic shots were captured, and learn what inspires each photographer.
The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with an opportunity to view the exhibition, followed by the main event from 6:30 pm.
