ASUS announces $2,499 32-inch 6K ProArt Display PA32QCV

ASUS has announced a new 32-inch 6K ProArt Display PA32QCV that will arrive in Australia in Q4 2025, with a recommended retail price of AUD $2,499. Remarkedly, it has a screen density of 218 pixels per inch (ppi), meaning that it can be classed as a 'retina screen'.

This price (and quality) puts it in direct competition with the base model $2,499 27-inch Apple Studio Display with its 5K resolution at 218 ppi.

Manufacturers tend to keep quiet about their monitors' ppi, and there's a good reason why. They're reluctant to acknowledge that many of their screens are still operating with a resolution akin to the early 2000s, producing noticeably jaggy images and text at around 100 ppi.

Photographers and graphic designers require high ppi display monitors – and kudos to ASUS to bringing out a screen of this calibre.

ASUS says the 32-inch 6K display (6016 x 3384) is designed for content creators and offers sharp visuals, 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage, and factory calibration for Delta E<2 colour accuracy.

It's also Calman Verified, so colours should stay consistent and reliable from the start.

Mac users are well catered for. A new M Model-P3 preset helps ensure accurate colour consistency when connected to macOS devices. Also, an ASUS DisplayWidget Center is now available for macOS. It lets you adjust settings like brightness, contrast and colour temperature directly from your mouse.

The 6K resolution offers more than three times the pixel density of a standard Full HD screen and 145 percent more working space (ie - more pixels) than a typical 4K monitor of the same size. Alternatively, it delivers 40% more physical screen space than a 27-inch monitor.

There are a lot of good reasons to consider this screen.

For multitaskers, the built-in Auto KVM makes it easy to switch between two connected laptops or PCs using just one keyboard and mouse.

Connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports with 96-watt Power Delivery, DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1, USB-A and USB-C ports, plus a headphone passthrough.

To keep visuals accurate in different lighting conditions, the display includes ASUS Light Sync technology. It uses backlight and ambient sensors to automatically adjust brightness and colour. LuxPixel, an anti-glare low-reflection coating, helps reduce distractions without softening image detail.
