Tristan Still is a multidisciplinary artist best known for his work in photomedia – most notably his intimate portraits. His subjects are often tied together by a resistance to capitalist ideals and authority – those who fiercely challenge cultural normative behaviours, practices, and expectations through their actions and identities.
His most recent work is focused on gender and identity through highly unique, experimental, and personal processes linking each subject intrinsically to each work. Working in the form of analogue alternative processes, Still works at pushing the boundaries of the silver gelatin photographic process.
