Suellen Cook is a Tasmanian-based photographic artist. Her images, through the process of individually photographing many specific elements, combine to tell a whimsical and often quirky story that powerfully capture the imagination. Her portfolio explores the concept of being alone but not lonely, where the viewer steps onto a stage where all the actors have left but there is a strong sense that something is about to happen, but exactly what is not entirely clear. The scene invites the viewer to become the actor and the story teller. An award-winning and successful exhibiting artist, Cook’s works are permanently displayed at Gallery Salamanca, in Hobart, Tasmania.
