Nicola Bailey, Faces from Rwanda and Ethiopia (Portrait)

I recently travelled to Rwanda and Ethiopia to document some of the social and environmental issues facing the people there. In Ethiopia, the tribes of the Lower Omo Valley are having their livelihoods threatened by the Governments moves to modernise. Denied access to water and land, we are starting to see some of the tribes already starting to starve. In Rwanda I met with people who were the only survivors from the genocide and others who had spent their lives living in refugee camps. This is a collection of portraits from this trip, of people showing immense resilience despite their challenges.
