BenQ PhotoVue SW271C 27-inch 4K UHD display

BenQ has unveiled the PhotoVue SW271C image-editing monitor, a 27-inch 4K UHD display with 'Paper Colour Sync' technology that employs special panel techniques to create a 'paperlike screen effect' to help photographs look almost the same onscreen as on paper.

The new flagship display features AQCOLOR technology which provides 99% coverage of Adobe RGB, 100% of sRGB, 95% of DCI-P3/Display P3 colour spaces. The SW271C's 10-bit colour depth and 16-bit 3D lookup table are Delta E≤2 accurate, and each SW271C comes with an individualised factory colour calibration report and certifications from CalMAN and Pantone.

Through its Paper Colour Sync technology, the SW271C employs special panel techniques to further reduce reflection and glare which results in a paper-like screen effect. Meanwhile, the GamutDuo function enables simultaneous side-by-side viewing of the same image in two different colour spaces, such as Adobe RGB and sRGB.

There's also a black and white mode designed for previewing film effects before adjusting images, and all colour modes can be instantly switched via BenQ's Hotkey Puck G2 to 'enhance efficiency'.

The monitor natively supports 24/25/30P video format in 4:2:2/4:2:0/4:4:4 compressed format.

Operating from a single USB-C cable for video, audio, data, and power, the SW271C is equipped with a height-adjustable stand and a detachable professional shading hood.

The monitor has an RRP of $2,499. To find out more about BenQ photographer monitors, head to BenQ.com.au.
