Refocus Retreat

Refocus Retreat is back again in 2021 from 29 August - 1 September down on the Great Ocean Road, in Lorne, Victoria. The event, for women in photography, offers attendees the opportunity to stay at the resort for three nights, or simply attend the conference only.

Founded in 2015, Refocus Retreat has grown from a group of 25 women getting together for a fun photography escape to over 80 attendees in 2019 at a world-class four-day live event. Filling the need for support and education both by and for women in the photographic industry, the event has grown without losing any of its intimacy.

When organiser & co-founder Kym Griffiths took the reins in 2018, she wanted to expand upon the already successful formulae through new genres and business topics.  “The retreat also provides a place where successful women are able to speak about their experiences, often for the first time, in a safe and supportive environment.”  She is quick to add, “The most important thing, even more than workshop content, is creating a welcoming space for women to discuss, ask questions, and reimagine their creative business.

Refocus Retreat also boasts a full schedule of workshops, keynotes, and social activities, new photography competitions and prizes, some incredibly talented speakers, and a fantastic community of likeminded women.Ticket pricing is with or without accommodation, but includes all meals and all workshops and social activities.
