A Melbourne-based photographer with a signature style and way of working, Sarah Hatton is a long exposure-focused landscape and adventure photographer. “I’m motivated by my love of the outdoors, and love to capture the ‘epic’ element of a landscape,” she says.

Former graphic designer, Hatton first loved photography as a hobby. After five years of graphic design, she realised that she wanted to do more with photography. “When I decided to take it more seriously, things began to move quickly,” she says.

Since turning pro in January 2015, Hatton, who’s self-taught, has built up a full portfolio of work. She currently works as a photography guide for One Of A Kind (OOAK), helping photographers trek to unique destinations to capture special shots. “I am working towards ticking off every continent,” Hatton says.

OOAK has already taken Hatton to sought-after photography destinations such as Patagonia, Canada, the Dolomites, USA, and New Zealand. In the near future, she has Antarctica, Iceland, and Russia on her must-see list.

When she is not trekking the world, Hatton teaches photography workshops as part of her business, Iso100 Photography. She is also busy with social media influencing, and brand and tourism promotion.

Hatton is very pleased to have come so far as a professional in such a short space of time. “I’m proud to be one of the few serious female landscape/adventure photographers on the map,” she says. As for the next steps, she is hoping to enjoy doing more of the same. “I simply want to travel the world with my photography funding it,” she says. “I would love to be one of the most recognised female landscape/adventure photographers.”
