National Photographic Portrait Prize now open for entries

The call for entries for the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2022 is now open. The winner will walk away with a $30,000 cash prize and photographic equipment from Canon. The annual competition showcases the best in contemporary photographic portraiture by both professional and aspiring Australian photographers.

Other prizes on offer include Highly Commended, an Art Handlers' Award, and the People’s Choice Award.

Finalists will be announced around April, and the winner will be selected when the exhibition opens in June 2022. All finalists will be exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery from 25 June to 9 October 2022!

Entries close 9am (AEDT) on Monday, 31 January 2022.
