Travel Photographer of the Year - Call for entries

The call for entries for the 2018 Travel Photographer of the Year awards are now open, with a deadline of 1 October. The competition is open to amateur, semi-professional, and professional photographers from across the globe.

Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) is judged by a highly respected international panel of photographers and imaging experts and attracts entries from over 140 countries each year. There is a range of categories to enter, from the portfolio categories Travel, Faces, People, Cultures, and Natural World, and the  three single-image One Shot categories, Beauty of Light, Hot, Cold, and Tranquillity to the Young Travel Photographer of the Year category (for ages 18 and under), the New Talent award and, for pictures taken on a smartphone or tablet, the ‘iTravelled’ category.

The overall winner of the awards -The Travel Photographer of the Year 2018 - will be the entrant who is judged to have submitted the best images across the portfolio categories. Photographers are automatically entered into this award if they enter the eight-image ‘Travel’ portfolio category once or submit at least two entries across the four-image portfolio categories.
