The Mono Awards have arrived! B&W comp call for entries.

The search is on for the best black-and-white photographer across Australia and New Zealand. Bringing together the region’s top photographic publications to host the contest – Capture magazine and Australian Photography magazine – The Mono Awards seeks to showcase the best black-and-white imagery across two categories: People and Places.

The single-image photography competition is open to all photographer; from enthusiast to emerging to pro. Just show us your very best monochrome work. Winners and runners-up will share in a prize pool of $10,000, including $5,500 cash. Other prizes will be provided by our major sponsors, Momento Pro and Momento, along with supporting sponsor, Kudos Cameras.

Following in the tradition of other competitions we host, including Australasia’s Top Emerging Photographers, images will be judged by a panel of leading pro photographers. Winners will have their images featured online as well as in the September/October edition of Capture and the September issue of Australian Photography.
