About the series
Forbes is a Melbourne-based photographer shooting a variety of commercial and personal projects. The six images in the series are a subset of a larger project photographed using a mixture of 35mm and medium format film in Italy in November 2018. The aim of the project was to document the classic feel of the Italian streets and landscape across a variety of towns from the northern reaches of the Dolomites, through Venice, Florence, Milan, and Sicily - showing both their contrasts and similarities.
Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers is the region's main platform for discovering and showcasing photographers at the outset of their careers. The competition is open to emerging, student, and amateur photographers.
