Our industry has an abundance of talented emerging photographers. But talent, on its own, is rarely enough in the highly competitive world of professional photography. It's a long and sometimes daunting journey from emerging photographer to successful professional, and the path can be fraught with potential obstacles. The question is, how do you turn your talent and your passion for photography into a rewarding and successful career?

In this unique half-day event, a select group of Australia's most respected photographers share their wisdom and experience, their successes and failures, and explain how to stand out and flourish in a crowded and competitive marketplace.

Capture’s first-ever Capture LIVE event will take place at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse on 1 August 2016. An Emerging Photographers’ Masterclass, Passion2Profit will include keynote presentations by some of Australia’s best-known photographers, including Kelly Brown, Peter Coulson, Dan O’Day and William Patino.

Just some of the topics they’ll address include harnessing social media to make the most of your follower base, how to get your first big break and what to do with it, and rookie mistakes and how to avoid them. This will be followed by a lively panel discussion/Q&A and drinks. If you want to learn from some of the best in the business, don't miss this very special event.
