2018 Pulitzer Prize photography winners announced

The winners of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News and Feature Photography have recently been announced. Not surprisingly, three of the photographers recognised amongst the winners and finalsts for the Pultizer also received high accolades and high praise for their work submitted for the World Press Photo contest.

The Photography Staff of Reuters took out the Feature Photography category for their shocking photographs that exposed the world to the violence Rohingya refugees faced in fleeing Myanmar. (The original submissions was moved by the Board from the Breaking News Photography category, where it was entered.)

Fianlists for Feature Photography included Kevin Frayer (freelance photographer, Getty Images), Meridith Kohut (freelance photographer, The New York Times), and Lisa Krantz (San Antonio Express-News).

Australia's very own Daniel Berehulak hold the honour of winning the Pulitzer not once, but twice, in 2015 for a series of poignant portraits documenting Ebola's deadly spread in West Africa and in 2017 for for his coverage of Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte's brutal war on drugs.
